Stake Conference was yesterday and it seemed to be just for Kelly and I. One speaker talked about trying to turn on the light of the restroom but the switch had been replaced by a motion sensor. If he hadn't "stepped into the darkness" he would have never been granted the light. He talked about following inspiration and it is hard to deal with everyone elses scepticism without giving us a chance. This may not work but we are giving it our best shot, having faith as we do that is is what is right for our family at this point in our lives.
Today I was blessed to be able to purchase 8 gallons of milk (boy was that weird after more than 14 years!!) for .89 each, 6 loaves of bread for .88 each and cheese for $2 a pound. I also splurged and got some Magnum Ice Cream bars for $1.50 (normally about $4) a box!!! That is awesome. I can't deprive myself of EVERYTHING. ;)
I think this blog is doing some good. I feel some improvements in my attitude. Has it helped anyone else? Again, I thank everyone that comes and views my blog. :)

A little late
Hubby has been putting all his time into getting this new website ready to be advertised in a newsletter that is to go out today or tomorrow.
1. I'm grateful for date night although it was 11pm before we left the house.
2. I'm grateful for CHOCOLATE! Chocolate Utopia is pretty good...very rich and chocolatey!
3. I'm grateful I can go to bed now.
4. I'm especially grateful for the cool wind blowing in the window!
5. I'm grateful for the people taking their time to read my posts. Makes me want to keep going. Thanks!

Freaky Experience
Well I guess I could start out that I'm grateful that we found a trampoline tarp for $30 and were ecstatic. Less than what we could get our old one sewn for. The kids were so excited. WE were so excited because it was something to keep the kids entertained outside so Kelly can work in peace inside! Koby measured ours and it was going to fit. I went and picked it up. Kelly told the kids to put it together. They came in after an awfully long time to tell us that it didn't fit. Kelly was going to look at it and never got around to it so the kids abandoned that project.
I was beginning supper, Kelly was working at his computer, and kids were scattered everywhere when the power began blinking on and off and on and off. That was scary by itself. We've had it go out but never on and off like that.
I think a kid came running in the house and said something about a power line. I hurried to the front door and the powerline was buzzing, sparking and bouncing. It was on fire too. I have to admit I did yell TO Kelly not AT him that we had a live wire outside. The set of 3 wires that bring power from the fuse box and meter box had rubbed on a tree branch and shorted out. It is just a weird feeling to see power lines laying on the ground. Kade shut off the fuse box but it didn't help! It was broken inside and only tripped one leg of the power.
After what seemed like forever (I really don't know how long it was cause I didn't look at the time) the United Electric guys came and fixed it. While we were waiting for them the wind started blowing the live line (it was hanging in the air) towards the tramp frame a couple feet away. Kade and Koby moved the frame across the yard. I realized then that we were LUCKY that the tarp didn't fit. If it had, I KNOW there would have been kids playing on and around the tramp right where that wire came down. So scary to think about that.
So I'm grateful for:
1. the chance to buy a tramp tarp for as little as she was asking for.
2. the fact that it didn't fit!
3. the fact that no one was hurt!
Things could have been worse. No one was hurt and we got a great memory out of it.
BUT NO TRAMPOLINE!!!!!

I didn't forget...
You thought I'd forgotten today. I had a nice quiet day. Gave me a few things to be grateful for.
1. I'm grateful my in-laws took my kids overnight. Kade was here but went to work this morning.
2. I'm grateful my husband's website is #4 in google. You can search "fishing trip to Alaska" without the quotes to find it. It is www.fishingtriptoalaska.com.
3. I'm grateful for NAPS!!
4. A friend willing to work over my laptop so maybe I can get back to business.

Oops!!!
I missed two days now but technically I'm still awake on Tuesday No computer really throws me for a loop. I'm having to post this from my iPod. Today was Cub Scout Day Camp.
I'm grateful:
1. I didn't have to get up at 5:30 Monday morning.
2. I got all my day camp stuff packed Monday night so I could get up and go.
3. The boys in our pack behaved wonderfully today.
4. I think I finally got all the dirt off my body and out of my hair. The tangles were the pits. It felt like I had been riding a motorcycle/4 wheeler.
5. I only sunburned my lips and hair part. I think the rest of my face is more wind burned but doesn't hurt.
6. Vanessa straightened my hair for me tonight. Someday I'll get over being afraid to do it myself. I could give you a bunch of reasons why I won't do it myself but this is supposed to focus on the positive. :D

Ticked off
This one will be harder. My laptop isn't booting up. I could just cry. Before Kory left I had everything backed up and ready for him to format the hard drive and start all over. Now I've given up on that and started saving things again. No. They aren't backed up. Wah!!!
I think Father's Day is going to save me on the gratitudes.
1. I'm grateful for a husband that is doing what he can to make a better life for us.
2. I'm grateful for a dad that is willing to take care if my mom and his mom. It's quite the juggling act.
3. I'm grateful for the people that have bought some of my stuff I posted online for sale.

Well today's another day:
1. Grateful for not having to set an alarm at 5:30 although I didn't get to sleep in like I thought
2. Grateful that the bank has twice had a way of double checking my kids' checking account balances (as known as a declined debit card because there wasn't enough money because of a forgotten transaction).
3. Grateful I got to go back to bed after being woke up by a kid calling that they couldn't leave the gas station until someone came and paid for the gas that was pumped already.
4. Grateful that I'm just getting up! :)

The Beginning
I made a commitment to review each week what I'm grateful for. I decided I'd start a blog to do it daily instead. I'm will tell my fellow classmates about it so that I have some accountability to get it done. I'll try to post my Attitude of Gratitude video also.
